Stages of Chronic Kidney Disease, What is the end stage, Kidney failure Herbal Remedies

Chronic kidney disease is becoming very common nowadays. Diabetes and Blood Pressure are the major diseases, which lead to kidney failure if not taken care properly. The condition is called Nephropathy. There are however certain other reasons like excessive use of pain killers, gout medicines and others which cause kidney disease.

The chronic kidney disease has been divided into various stages. The stage 5 is often called End Stage Renal Disease or ESRD. The level of damage in nephrons is indicative by their functionality and various tests like GFR ( Glomerular filteration rate), blood levels of Urea, Creatinine give us an estimate of extent of kidney failure and the stage of kidney disease.

Herbal remedies are considered as a safe and effective combination for the treatment of various stages of kidney failure. The natural herbs act together in a synergistic manner and are effective in chronic kidney disease. The herbal remedies can be safely used in kidney failure and in dialysis patients. Glomerular filtration rate i.e. GFR is the best measure of kidney function. GFR is used to figure out a person’s stage of kidney disease. The ayurvedic medicines and natural herbs help to improve the GFR in kidney failure patients and thereby helping in all stages. The herbs not only help to improve GRF but also reduce urea, creatinine and improve kidney health. It has been observed that patient’s kidney starts improving with few days once he starts taking specific herbal remedies. These herbal remedies help the patient withdrawing from dialysis. The damaged kidneys and other organ’s functions start improving in a natural way.

There are five stages of chronic kidney disease

Stage 1 chronic kidney disease –

Stage 1 kidney disease has kidney damage with a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) at a normal or high level. Usually there are no symptoms to indicate the kidneys are damaged. Kidneys do function and most patients will not know they have stage 1 kidney disease. The symptoms of this disease include higher than normal levels of creatinine in the blood, blood in the urine and evidence of kidney damage in an MRI, CT scan or ultrasound.

Stage 2 chronic kidney disease –

Stage 2 kidney disease has kidney damage with a mild decrease in their glomerular filtration rate (GFR). There may be no symptoms to indicate the kidneys are damaged. The symptoms of stage 2 kidney disease include higher than normal levels of creatinine or urea in the blood and evidence of kidney damage in an MRI or CT scan. The levels of creatinine are still lesser than 2.5 mg / dl.

Stage 3 chronic kidney disease –

Stage 3 kidney disease has kidney damage with a moderate decrease in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). Due to decline in the kidney functioning, waste products get build up in the blood. This condition is known as ‘uremia’. Symptoms present in stage 3 kidney disease include fatigue, feeling tired, anemia, swelling (edema) in the lower legs, kidney pain, insomnia etc. A patient may urinate more or less and get up at night to go for urination.

Stage 4 chronic kidney disease –

Stage 4 kidney disease has advanced kidney damage with a severe decrease in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). It is likely that a patient with stage 4 kidney disease will need dialysis or a kidney transplant. In this case, a patient is likely to develop complications of chronic kidney disease such as hypertension, anemia, bone disease, heart problem etc. Symptoms present in this disease include fatigue, feeling tired, swelling (edema) in the lower leg and with too much fluid, someone could even feel breathing problem. Urine may be foamy or dark brown, if it contains blood. Most patients do not have kidney pain, but they may have pain in their back where the kidneys are present.

Stage 5 ( End stage ) of chronic kidney disease –

Stage 5 kidney disease has end stage renal disease (ESRD) with a very low glomerular filtration rate (GFR). At this advanced stage of kidney disease, the kidneys have lost all their ability to do their function effectively. Symptoms in stage 5 kidney disease or End stage renal disease ( ESRD) include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, little or no urine, swelling around the eyes and ankles, increased skin pigmentation etc. The kidneys are no longer able to remove waste products from the body. Toxins start building up in the blood which may cause an overall ill feeling. Kidneys cannot perform other functions such as blood pressure regulation, formation of red blood cells and activation of vitamin D for healthy bones. The Revive kidneys package helps in this stage also to improve kidney function by reducing the burden on the kidneys, improving urea and creatinine results, reducing the frequency of dialysis.

Various causes of chronic kidney failure and how to prevent the end stage:

According to Ayurveda, ignorance is the root cause of all diseases. It has been observed that in most cases, either the blood pressure or chronic diabetes may lead to kidney failure. Acute infections, auto-immune disorders and uncontrolled use of chemotherapeutic drugs lead to burden on kidneys, which further leads to kidney failure. In the end stage renal disease, the doctors may recommend dialysis as the higher creatinine levels start to put strained burden on brain and other body organs, but in Ayurvedic medicine there are certain ways to avoid dialysis by using natural herbs and specific diet.
